Bitterness is like the flu.   The bad feelings tell us that something bad
is going on inside us.  Unlike the flu, however, there is a cure for
bitterness.  At the same time, if we are otherwise healthy, the flu will
soon go away; but unless it is “treated”, our bitterness will grow and
destroy both us and those around us.

You probably know people like that.  Maybe you are one of them.

Hebrews 12:15 says,  “Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of
the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause
trouble, and by this many become defiled” (KJV).

  • What is a root of bitterness?

  • How do you find what the root is?

  • Then, how do you eliminate that root?

  • How do you keep bitter roots from coming back up again?

There is an implication in this scripture that there is a way that you
can be set free from the dominion of roots of bitterness.
