"In October 2007 I was diagnosed with metastatic
carcinoma. I will not forget those first days after I heard the
diagnosis. So many questions! Why is this happening to
me? I thought God loved me too much to allow this? I am
not ready to die. The fears overwhelmed me… fear of the
unknown, fear of pain, fear of being too sick to work, fear of
the reaction of my family members, and the worst was the
fear of dying before I got to see my grandchildren grow up.
I entered a world I did not even know existed and was
surprised to learn I had many companions. God was faithful
through all of the challenges of the past year and I have
learned so much about Him and also myself.
God wants to give us His peace through whatever trial we
face and it is a gift that is just waiting to be received.
Through His guidance He has given me peace about my
situation."
