Chapter 1
Suicidal Thoughts
The Problem
People who have suicidal thoughts are in great internal pain.
The pain is so great that they will do anything to stop the
hurt.
Crisis
If this is your situation right now, it is very important that you
let loved ones know how your are feeling. This website can
not substitute for local support that you may need to keep
you from making an attempt at suicide. There are programs
and medications that can greatly reduce the pain.
Permanent Resolution
Once you have gotten past your crisis, it would be very wise
for you to not just go back to life as usual. There was a
reason why you were in such a hurting state; and you need
to go on a quest to find out what it was, so that you can be
sure it is dead and can't resurrect.
The Root
The most intensive emotional pain comes to those who are
very demanding of themselves, who are very critical of
themselves, and who are hard on themselves when they
don't think they are good enough - which is often.
There is a reason why this is true, and you need to
understand the cause so that the cure can be applied. The
good news is that there is a way for you to become patient
and merciful of yourself.
The Cure
You just need detailed instructions as to how to
appropriate the cure into your life, so you can be set free.
My book, "I Will Give You Rest" addresses the whole array of
human struggles that Jesus can heal. The chapter order is
for the majority of needs.
However, your issue needs specific attention, and so I would
recommend that you read the book in a different order.
Recommended Sequence
I would recommend that you start with Chapters 9, which will
show you where the pain is coming from, and why it is there.
Then go to Chapter 11, which will identify a powerful tool that
you possess that is indispensable in your healing journey.
Then go to Chapter 12 which will show you that part of you
that is hurting so much.
Finally, go to Chapter 2 and read the rest of the chapters in
order.
Your Journey
I would recommend that you write down somewhere this
revised sequence of chapters so that you will not forget it -
remember, Chapters 9, 11, 12, 2. Of course, you can always
come back here if you forget.
Be aware that when you read the chapters out of order, you
will bump into some terms with which you are not familiar,
because they were taught in earlier chapters which you have
not yet read.
However, this should not interfere with the main messages in
the chapters you are reading out of order.
You are free to spend as much time as you like on
this website, and you can jump in and out as your
schedule gives you time to read. When you come
back, you can just take up where you left off by
clicking on the appropriate chapter in the links on the
left of the web pages.
