Chapter 1
Judgmental
The Problem
All of us human beings judge others when we have been
wronged by that person.
However, since you are on this web page, it would appear
that being judgmental has become a big issue in your life.
This is a miserable place to be, and other people don't like
this in you either.
Since all people judge, but not all people seem to be
"judgmental", what has happened to you?
Every person that I have counseled who is judgmental of
others is also very hard on themselves. They aren't
treating other people any differently than they treat
themselves.
The Cure
The answer to becoming more merciful and forgiving
towards others is to begin to be more merciful and forgiving
towards yourself. However, this is easier said than done. In
fact, it is impossible for you to accomplish by yourself. Jesus
has to accomplish it for you.
Therefore, you need to learn exactly how He can to this.
My book, "I Will Give You Rest" addresses the whole array of
human struggles that Jesus can heal. The chapter order is
for the majority of needs.
However, your issue needs specific attention, and so I would
recommend that you read the book in a different order.
Your Journey
First read Chapter 9. This chapter will help you understand
what it means to be hard on yourself, and how that came
about.
Then read Chapter 12, which will describe that part of you
that you wrongly, and frequently, judge so harshly.
Then read the rest of the book in sequence, starting with
Chapter 2. These other chapters will show you how to
become your own friend.
Some Suggestions
I would recommend that you write down somewhere this
revised sequence of chapters so that you will not forget it -
remember, 9, 12, 2.
Be aware that when you read the chapters out of order, you
will bump into some terms with which you are not familiar,
because they were taught in earlier chapters which you have
not yet read.
However, this should not interfere with the main messages in
the chapters you are reading out of order.
Take Your Time

this website, and you can jump in and out as your
